Sera first stopped by the library to borrow the books she couldn’t read last time.
[‘Flirting Master’s Dating Tips’, ‘Guide to Capturing the Heart of a Grumpy Man’, ‘The Reason for Push and Pull’, ‘BDSM Inclination Guide’]
‘If someone catches me reading these books, I might die of embarrassment. I need to be careful.’
Sera wrapped the books tightly in cloth and headed straight to the Ration restaurant.
‘Please… I hope I can meet Raon.’
Sera told the coachman to go back first as she might be late, and she took a seat by the window on the second floor of the restaurant.
She looked at the menu and ordered the same dish that calls for the master of Latian as last time.
When she ordered from a regular staff, Rika came up and spoke to Sera.
“The master is not here right now.”
“I’ll wait. Could you also bring the food I ordered? And please call me when the master returns.”
Sera smiled sweetly at Rika as she spoke.
“Pardon? Oh… The master hasn’t been coming lately. It might be hard to see him.”
“It’s okay. The food is delicious too. That’s reason enough to come.”
‘I feel like I’ve seen that face before…’
Rika tilted her head in curiosity, then smiled pleasantly at Sera who praised the food of Latian.
“I’ll bring it out shortly.”
Rika brought the food one by one shortly after.
‘I wonder if she can eat it all…’
“Enjoy your meal.”
“Yes. Thank you.”
After finishing her meal, Sera ordered additional dessert and tea, and leisurely waited while reading the books she borrowed from the library, hiding them with other book covers.
‘Wow. She ate it all. Wait… This happened before… Ah, this person. She’s that miss from back then. She must have bloomed. Hmm… The master might be disappointed.’
Rika gave a sympathetic smile.
Before she knew it, darkness had fallen and the lights were coming on one by one. Looking at the quiet street, Sera thought.
‘Sigh. I guess I can’t meet him after all. Somehow, I felt like I could.’
Raon entered through the door of Latian looking tired and worn out.
“Ma-Master? It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Are you sick? Why does your face look… Oh! By the way, there’s a guest waiting for you… It’s a master call order. She’s been waiting since lunch. You know, the one from last time..”
Raon sighed deeply and gestured to Rika that he understood, then headed straight to the second floor.
‘What kind of request is it that keeps me until this hour…? Sigh…’
Raon staggered up the stairs.
As Sera was organizing her books and about to leave, she saw a lovely pink head coming up the stairs.
‘Oh.’
Raon sat across from Sera and smiled gently.
‘A white-haired lady, I see for the first time. Did she come from somewhere far…?’
“Hello. I’m Raon, the master of Latian. Were you looking for me?”
“Ah, um… Hello. Do you remember me?”
Sera greeted shyly and made eye contact with Raon.
Looking at Raon smiling, the color of the bead on his earring had changed to a gray close to white.
‘He looks really tired. Huh? The color of the earring changed. The fading color… It looks like a Collect Necklace.’
Raon thought as he made eye contact with Sera.
‘Wait… Purple eyes…’
“Ah, Sera? Your hair… It bloomed. Did you find your name?”
The smile disappeared from Raon’s face.
“No. I haven’t found my name, but the pheromone manifestation happened.”
“Wasn’t it said that the pheromone manifestation doesn’t happen if you don’t know your name?”
“That’s true, but for a somewhat special reason… it manifested. I can’t tell you though…”
“Hmm… If you can’t say, that’s fine. The hair suits you well. It should be easier to find your name. Your father’s side must have white hair.”
Raon’s attitude was indifferent.
“Yes… It seems so. Then, can you find out my father’s family?”
“Hold on.”
Raon got up from his seat, went somewhere for a moment, and brought back a few documents.
“There are six noble families with white hair. Considering your age, three families are likely. The first, the Tail family, has a countess with white hair, so it’s unlikely. The second, the Mechia family, had its head pass away long ago, and now someone your age is the head. There might be a chance of being an illegitimate child of the former head. Lastly, the Shyloz family, but the Shyloz count is still unmarried. There’s no guarantee there aren’t any illegitimate children.”
“Then…”
“Then we only need to investigate the second or third family. But it seems like the pheromone manifestation, your main goal, is done. Is finding the family urgent?”
Raon spoke with an increasingly indifferent attitude. His drooping eyes were barely open, almost as if he were dozing off.
“I’m somewhat… anxious… I hope the family doesn’t find me…”
“Hmm. Well, that’s your business. Since I’m looking into it for free, just wait a bit more.”
Raon gave a mischievous smile. Sera felt upset by Raon’s attitude.
“Hey… Why are you so twisted?”
“Puhaha. Me? No, I’m always like this. Was I even kind last time? Haha.”
Sera, feeling a sense of defiance, took out five gold coins and placed them in front of Raon, who was mumbling while staring into space with sunken eyes.
“…Here. This time I’ll pay properly, so I’ll make an additional request. Raon.”
As Raon met Sera’s clear gaze, his heart sank with a thud.
‘Just now… What was that? A tingling feeling in my chest…’
Raon, with a puzzled look, gathered the gold coins and spoke to Sera.
“Hmm… What is it?”
‘Well. Her appearance is exactly my type. Last time, it was just a shame about the dark hair.’
Sera paused for a moment before speaking to Raon, who had quickly become indifferent again.
“The reason why Marquis Lafjehill doesn’t engage in relationships… That’s all I need.”
Raon spoke with a curious expression.
“Why do you want to know that?”
“Do I have to tell you the reason?”
“Not really, but I’m curious why you want to know. If it’s the reason, I already know. I can give you the answer right away.”
Sera hesitated, biting her lip, then spoke cautiously.
“I’m… trying to seduce Marquis Lafjehill…?”
Raon couldn’t hold back his laughter at Sera’s unexpected words and burst out laughing.
“Kuh… Puhahaha! That Lafjehill? Khaha! Ah.. You’re really bold. That cold-blooded Marquis… Why on earth? How did you come to think that? Kuh… Puhaha!”
Sera was both embarrassed and glaring at the rude Raon.
“Ah. Give up on that. Marquis Lafjehill will be difficult. Quite a few young ladies have tried, not to mention even Her Majesty the Empress failed? At this point, saying more would be a waste of breath.”
Sera recalled the lavish and beautiful Empress Cassia with her rich, blood-red hair.
‘She failed too…?’
“…I’ll handle that myself. Just tell me the reason. I paid the commission properly, didn’t I?”
Raon returned the gold coins he had gathered and spoke.
“I’ll return them. I have a sort of love-hate relationship with Marquis Lafjehill. I can’t just blab about it.”
Sera lowered her head in disappointment.
“Sigh. Then… if you find my name, send it to the mansion of Viscount Nellaf Benjamin. As soon as possible. You didn’t take the money, right?”
Sera put the gold coins back in her purse.
“Viscount Benjamin? Hmm… Did that guy help you bloom?”
“Yes.”
Sera sighed deeply as if to say what does it matter, and answered. Raon frowned and ran his hand through his hair.
“Tsk. None of those guys have anything likable… Fine. I’ve changed my mind. I’ll tell you.”
“What?! Really?”
“There’s a condition.”
Sera was looking at Raon. Raon smiled slyly and said.
“Want to try seducing me first? I’m just as difficult as Lafjehill. If you succeed in seducing me… well, it’s not entirely impossible. Then I’ll tell you Lafjehill’s secret.”
Sera looked at Raon as if she couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
‘Ever since earlier, his reactions… that attitude… hmm… jealousy?’
“Why are you just staring? Come on. Take me to bed.”
‘Nothing to lose. I’ve had dreams about this…’
Sera asked with a relaxed smile on her lips.
“…You know, you’re interested in me, aren’t you? Do you like me? Is that why you’re jealous of those people?”
“…What?”
Raon was looking at Sera with a puzzled expression.
“Suddenly telling me to seduce you… Your attitude changed from last time, and you said you’d come to me if the pheromone manifested. Now that I’ve bloomed and come, you’re jealous… right? I don’t know what your connection is with Nellaf and Marquis Lafjehill, but it doesn’t seem like a good one.”
“Huh…? Heh, hehe… Okay, I’ll admit it. You seem pretty perceptive. You are my type. Your appearance and actions are interesting. I even find your boldness now cute. But… you know that’s separate from what happens in bed, right?”
Raon smiled slyly as if teasing Sera. Sera also smiled slightly, not wanting to lose.
“Seducing you is no big deal. I have quite a strong pheromone.”
Raon turned his gaze to the window, speaking indifferently as if he had no expectations.
“Wow. That sounds promising. Are you that confident? It won’t be easy.”
‘I mean… I’ve never seen the end… That’s why I’m stuck like this with Seian…’
Seeing Raon staring blankly out the window, Sera lost some confidence and felt a bit intimidated.
‘Ah. Did I say something unnecessary? No. I believe in the gods.’
Sera focused and gently released her pheromone.
Raon, who had neither expectations nor emotions, felt his heart sink once more the moment he caught the scent of Sera’s pheromone.
Thump.
Raon looked at Sera with a stunned expression. Reading Raon’s expression, Sera looked at him with a confident smile.
“How is it?”
